Today...

People!

I went to watch Harry Potter for the 5th time today! Haha... I practically dragged my mum to go watch it! I felt I needed to watch it again cos the cinemas were starting to phase out the movie and I, being a Potterfreak, was kinda sad that the movie was not gonna be shown anymore on the big screen. My guess for the DVD to come out: Christmas 2007.

So just for fun, here's another list. This one is how many times i've watched each Harry Potter movie...
Sorcerer's Stone: 3
Chamber of Secrets: 6
Prisoner of Azkaban: 3
Goblet of Fire: 8
Order of the Phoenix: 5

4D numbers anyone? Haha... I find that the 5th one best captured the essence of the book. In terms of adaptation, I think the 2nd one was done quite well, albeit a little kiddish, and the special effects could've been better. Azkaban is arguably the worst Potter film, for me. Artistically, it wins hands down! But in terms of adaptation, it sucked. I felt what was sweet was that the Marauder's Map was partly made by Harry's dad, and they excluded it! They cut out a whole load of things and the spells... oh the spells... Immobulus for the Whomping Willow? And said by Lupin? He's supposed to be the friggin' Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher! I could go on for ages... ok, about an hour...

So my title is about TODAY. Not the newspaper, but my day. I woke up late, at 12.25, was enjoying my sleep cos' of the wonderful sleepy weather the rain brings! So i went to meet my mum to go Plaza Singapura. We transferred at Raffles Place and when we got out, the other train was already there. We rushed into the train, and in my hurried state, i stumbled in, didn't see this girl's leg that was sticking out, tripped on it, she said ''sorry'' and I said ''stupid''. Haha... I felt bad at first, but now when I think of it, I don't really feel bad about it! Cos' earlier on, I had to go from the last carriage of the train, to Raffles Place, to the first carriage while the train was moving. On my way, I had to constantly avoid people's legs sticking out! I mean, someone could trip on one of those legs, maybe hit the metal bar, and knock a tooth out! Or they could trip and hit their heads and start bleeding or crack their skull or something... I mean, what if it’s a kid? Their bones are softer and if they hit their skull, it could seriously affect their mental development!

Here's what I have to say:

WOMEN: Crossing your leg properly means that one leg is neatly tucked BESIDE the other and not HANGING loosely on your knee and therefore sticking out. If you can't cross it properly, then don't do it! After all, the best way of sitting properly, is to have one leg tucked BEHIND the other. Also, crossing your leg is not very good for the spine anyway…

MEN: If you have to cross you leg, then do it so that it looks like you actually have something between them! Don't cross it and let one leg casually hang over the other! Guys tend to have longer limbs right? So when you let one leg hang out, especially in the MRT, it means you're blocking more walking space in the aisle of the train! And if you can cross your leg where one leg is neatly tucked beside the other... well....

Another thing, GUYS, if you are a guy that is below maybe 30 and you're in perfect health, let the ladies sit down once in a while huh? I'm not asking for a miracle, and I know women these days are becoming emotionally stronger (most of us anyway), going into the work force and maaaybe taking some of your jobs and getting more headstrong everyday, but don't take it against us! Times have changed! It’s the 21st century! Have more confidence, behave more like a gentleman! In case you don't already know, women LOVE gentlemen! And just so you know, those heels really hurt, especially if you're standing in a train or bus after walking around in them the whole day, so give us a break will ya?

Ladies, if you feel me, tag away...

PEACE! :)

K.T.
