Spending power...

My life is pretty stagnant. I go to school, I go home, sometimes I go out with my Mum, weekends I have nothing on execpt to go to my cousin's house or the occasional weekend shopping day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, cos I know that not many people can do these kinda things with their Mum and not all of us can just study and study alone. I'm just afraid that in, I don't know, 2 years time, my life will still be like this, and I don't live like some cray-ass life of fun and activities. Right now, I am just comfortable with my life like this. After all, after I graduate and actually get a real job (hopefully), I may never be free again! So I'm just gonna enjoy this free, dull time of my life and not be in a hurry to like, ya know, grow up! Hee...

Shopping is fun, and I am sort of, in a weird way, thankful that I can't fit into most of the clothes here, or else I'll be spending twice as much as I do now! Hee...
Singapore really does not cater to YOUNG overweight people's clothing needs! I mean, sure there are shops with plus sizes, but all the clothes are so drab. And then there are the shops that cater to all those aunties, but it all looks so cheena! Why can't there be a trendy shop wich has clothes that cater to young plus-sized people's needs? Not all the women in Singapore are of the ''no figure, no shape'' body category! And I bet those normal sized but curvy women have a tough time finding clothes that fit well too, because the clothes don't have enough room in the front or back! Ah well, another thing to improve on in the world! :)

On Sunday, Mum and I watched Stardyst. It was surprisingly nice! Entertaining, and I never thought Robert De Niro had it in him to act like that! Watch this show, but be reminded that it is a fantasy show, so don't take the laws of science too seriously while watching it! After the show, I bought the Roxy perfume that I'd been wanting to get, and have been wearing it for two days already! Hee.. Hooray to the first thing I bought with my own first real paycheck! :)
I went shopping on Monday. Bought a laptop skin and watched a movie. Haha... We watched Factory Girl, which was quite a nice show! A little, sort of, artsy. It's about this girl called Edith who was like a muse to Andy Warhol, according to the film. There was some nudity in the film, including a steamy love scene with Sienna Miller and *gasp* Hayden Christensen! Hayden is smouldering, with those eyes of his! Other than that, it was a pretty organic film, even though there were a lot of chemicals in it... :)
Anyway, here's my new laptop skin:

My cousin Ruyi and I went to Holland V for lunch Thursday, then it was off to kbox for about 3 hours of singing! I hate that I do not have any voice stamina. I must be doing something wrong. Even though people say I can sing, it is no use if I can't sing well past my 7th song!!!

My breakfast this morning. I just though they looked nice.

Lastly, here are recent pictures of my favourite pair of brothers! Gerard is as cute as ever, and he seems to have lost some weight!

While Mikey is still pretty much the same, except a little shaggier!

41 more days until MCR concert!!!

Weee Wednesday!

On Monday I finally recived that darn cheque, so I told my mum and sis that I would treat them on Tues. Since my sis had to work, she could only meet my mum and i for dinner. So I treated my mum to a movie, 'Hunting and Gathering', a French movie starring Audrey Toutou. It was actually quite nice! I like French films... Then we went for dinner at Hip Diner at Cineleisure. I've posted the picture of their sausage in my previous post, and this time I tried another sausage!

Here it is...

Today's a Weee Wednesday because I finally got my MCR tickets! I ended school at 4, so my mum went there earlier to get it for me (I payed for myself). It's settled! I'm going! Yea!

My MCR tickets! Dec 11, here I come!

It's Monday!

Fell asleep in class today. I was doing quite well until the end of the class, considering that I was falling asleep on the way to school! Anyway, nothing much happened today, except I saw this purple Kia car that I liked. Not the car, but the colour of the purple. I really would like a Lexus someday! Or a peugeot car! A Toyota or Honda car woudn't be that bad too. So here is the car that I was talking about...

The purple car...

Thia is the car I REALLY want! If I could have it in purple, then it would be a dream! Haha...

Struggling through 'The Dar Is Rising' book...

Peace!

It's the weekend...

Hey people...

Wow, it has been an entire week that I did not update my blog! Anyway, it's the end of the weekend and I really have not been doing anything! I did not go to school last Friday, so I spent half the day playing Sims and the other half watching 'Brothers', which sucked, and slacking. On Saturday, I spent the entire day playing Sims and watching TV with Mum. So on Sunday, Mum and I went for breakfast and Swensens, which we did not plan but thoroughly enjoyed, walked around the new and huge Popular at Jurong Point basement, shopped for groceries at the ever-irritating NTUC (cos of the people), and came back home. We did all this in a matter of 2 hours! When we came home, I watched a little TV then played Sims. Mum scolded me for having such a dirty toilet and I told her that the task of keeping the toilet clean is a one woman job, since my sis only comes home long enough to sleep, take shower and spend time on her computer! I kinda got away with it when I said that! Haha... :) The only amount of ''work'' that I did this weekend was to make up crap for my Evaluation report for PUB.

Anyway, I have been eating consistently, cos I need to survive, so here are some interesting foods that I have eaten this month...

Pepper sausages with mash potatoe. I had this at the American Diner at Cthay Cineleisure. Good food, with great atmosphere! I'd definitely go back there again!

Mum's meal and mine at Ichiban Sushi at Jurong Point. We just had a lot of snacks that day cos we did not feel too hungry... Shown here are fried chicken, soft shell crab, tuna sushi and salmon sashimi.

Our breakfast at Swensen this Sunday morning! It was great and I'd recommend it to my friends who can wake up early enough, cos it's only available on the weekends. It all cost about $19, but the service is good and the atmospher is so relaxing!

I saw this wonderful purple-yellow-white rose bouquet at Taka and it was real flowers! I usually don't like flowers that much, but I can't resist a purple and yellow rose combination! :)

Kal helped me to take this while we were in the bathroom during our very fun outing on Tues. I need a haircut!

My fav actress/model/fashion designer/singer, Milla, pregnant! She's just so cool and aven though she's drop dead beautiful, she's not afraid to show her quirkiness and ''ugly face''!

So toleave you guys with something to think about, here's a comparison of two models who look alike. Kal reminded me of the older one! On the left is Linda Evangelista and on the right is Milla Jovovich. I did not have time to find pictures where they were in exactly the same position, but I think you guys can see the similarity. I personally think Milla is more quirky. Anyway, nothing wrong with having two similar-looking beautiful and smart women in the world! :)

FREEDOM!!!

People!

The day I had been DREAMING about finally came! I called my supervisor to make sure he was coming and once he did, I gave him his present and let him sign the required forms. After that, I went to talk to the technical officers outside and had a laugh! They are actually a fun bunch of people! It's good to know that there is some humour in that hellhole! My secondary prison guard was not there most of the morning and when I left during lunch time, he was not there, so I never said goodbye to him. I did not say goodbye to the two ladies and the other guy too. After my supervisor left, after an awkward handshake and him saying ''all the best'', I felt there was no reason for me to stay. I told the technical officers bye, and before I left, they said some funny stuff like ''wah, if i leave this place ah, I won't even say goodbye ah, I will just get on my bicycle and speed out'' and ''I will 'pui' this place and never look back''. Haha... Guess they don't like their jobs that much! Here are some pictures...

I got this bag for the guy that fetches me out sometimes. He is a small man, and to make it worse, he carries a purple/pink bag which I found to be... questionable. So I bought this manlier looking bag which I wanted to paint his name on, but did not have time!

This big bag of chocolates and mami biscuits are for the TO's. They finished it by lunch time!

A coffee/tea mug for the secondary prison guard, since he is always drinking something from that century-old Anlene cup!

It was a plain box for my supervisor's stationary until I wrote on it with markers. It took me almost an hour to complete it, and I was proud cos I haven't drawn in a long time and I did this without planning! He doesn't deserve me... Haha...

The TO's! I never got to know the rest of them, but the girl marked 'A' is a very nice 29 year-old Malaysian who chatted with me sometimes. The guy marked 'B' is my 26 year-old senior who is very funny!

Everyone, meet my 26 year-old supervisor aka Primary Prison Guard! I know that I am a rather large girl, but I swear that he is an extremely small ''man''! Haha... I was surprised he agreed to take this pic! Good riddance!

Ah, freedom... I specifically wanted to catch my stupidly grinning face with the clouds!

I have a very stupid video of me practically running out of the office, but I don't wanna bore you guys with that! :) I was taking pictures left and right to document my escape from prison, and I had to condense it down to these few.

I learned something from this attachment. That is: I will never work in a place where I am not happy and where the people do not suit me. You learn something from every experience, right? In the words of Bob Bryar/MCR, ''don't take anybody's shit!''

Oh Happy Day!

OH MY FRICKIN' GOD!

I came in to prison today thinking ''it has been a while since I caught up with my MCR (My Chemical Romance, for those of you in alien land) news''. So I turned my computer on, and went to my normal MCR websites. As I scrolled down, a post with ''Singapore'' in the heading caught my eye. Could this be what I have been waiting for? I steadied myself as the last inkling of sleep went out of my system. It said ''Shan Wee, a radio station DJ who interviewed MCR last year has confirmed on 98.7FM that MCR will be holding their gig in Singapore on December 12th 2007. More details to follow soon.''

I practically shouted and almost soiled myself. I CANNOT believe it! They're coming! Dec 12th is on a Wednesday, and I am so gonna skip school that day! Since most concerts start at 8, I am going to be there at 1! Just imagine: mosh pit, front and centre! I wanna get Frank's spit on me and Gerard shaking his smelly ass in my face! MCR fans will know that he does that sometimes... Hee... Seriously, the only things that can prevent me from skipping school and going is a test, exam or SARS. If there happens to be a online quiz that day that is only like 3% or something, I might even consider skipping it! Oh, I can't wait! :)

I am left with only one more day of my sentence! I have no idea how I made it through this hell! I already bought my gifts for them, so tonight I have to prepare them. By tomorrow, I can finally show my friends the horrible people in this office! Haha... So while I was serving my sentence, with my lovely laptop by my side, I came across some fantastic wallpapers that represented the feeling ''I wish I was there''. I have a widescreen laptop where the wallpaper dimension has to be 1920x1200, which is not a very common dimension, so I am always thrilled if I can find decent wallpapers. Here are some of my favourites...

This is my current wallpaper. I love the vastness of it, yet it is not empty.

Notice the colourful little umbrella? And you almost thought it was a black and white picture...

This was my walpaper for some time during this sentence. I found ''slow'' very appropriate for me!

Ah, the beach. I'm a softie for beach wallpapers. That's cos one of my dreams is to live by the beach. Probably not in Singapore and not anytime soon, but one day!

Yesterday the gang went out to celebrate Sharilyn's birthday. I think the last time that we were all together like that was my birthday! But, even though we were physically together, I felt there was some distance between us and I don't know why. We had dinner, then walked around and when I asked my mum whether I could watch a 9.15 movie, she said yes! So me, JY, Jeremy, Shawn and Sebastian went to watch Mr Woodcock. I don't think it is a very nice movie. This is one of those movies where most of teh funny parts are already in the trailer. My verdict is, don't see it unless you have nothing else to do. That's being harsh...

Picture time!

We have countless photos that are like this! I think we still look the same as sec 4! We ate at Billy Bombers and I think their food kinda sucks. But their drinks and side dishes are good!

The gang excluding JY. He was wandering around somewhere and refused to be in the picture! May Ann's friend Jeremiah helped us take this picture.

Sharilyn's present! JY and Jeremy bet me $5 each that she could not fit into the shirt, and she could! Thanks Sharilyn for helping me prove them wrong! And you two owe me $10!!!

Alright, back to my penultimate day of prison! School starts next week! Yea! And people, can you please tag my board if you're reading this? Please? :)

3 more days!

I cannot believe that there are only 3 more days! Time to leave this place and go back to school where people know I exist! Haha... I was writing an email to my American friend Laurie just now and I told her this : ''It takes a lot for me to dislike someone, and they (the people in this damn office) have the honour of having that position in my life''. Sad, but true! It is not that they are bad, but more like they are so ignorant and I do not think they are very sincere people. I have said before that I hate insincere people and I do not bother making friends with them, and they are just that. Kal said that I am pretty generous, stil wanting to give them gifts. What I think is that I am never going to see them again, and I do not want them to have any sort of bad impression of me, because I have done nothing to deserve that. Also, I am going to give them stuff (cheap stuff unlike the type i would normally give) more out of '意思' than anything.

Alright, picture time! So Saturday I went for my second try at dragon boat. I asked Ting if she wanted to come along, and she said ok! So we reached Kallang River at slightly after 3. At around 3.30, we went out to paddle and when we came back, we took these pictures...

Yes, there was beer and Ting drank slightly more than half a cup. It was so funny cos she felt a little woozy after so little! Haha... She bet me $5 that I could not finish up the last quater of the cup, and I proved her wrong! :)

This is me with Cecile. She is from France and is here for some medicinal/pharmaceutical research and lives in a hotel off Orchard Road. Her accent was real cute! If only it had been a young French guy... Haiz...

I put this up because there are a bunch of very ''on'' guys in the background! After paddling, they did sit-ups and push-ups and were counting every one of them!

Boy, did I have a muscle ache! After paddling, we went to Shaun's house to swim, and swam 2 laps with a bit here and there in the smaller pool! My muscles ached so much that I could not even sit still! Ting did not ache and just fell asleep! Goes to show how unfit I am... Hee...

On Monday, May Ann and I met up after work at Far East Plaza to shop for Sharilyn's present. While there, we visited Angie, caught up, and took these pictures!

May Ann and I. My hands were shaky!

Angie and I. My hands were shaky again! Man, I suck at taking my own photos!

The 3 of us. I know May Ann is a little cut off, but we all looked like ourselves and I just love these kind of candid shots, and if they're out of focus or someone is a little cut off, it just makes the picture look more natural!

Phew, made it to this morning! So this is the cat I like. I just like the mixture of the colours in her coat. Plus, she's pregnant! You can't really see it here, only when she walks around...

So this is what I had for lunch today. A chocolate muffin from Delifrance. I had another coconut flavoured muffin, but I did not eat that..

Alright, it is not 3.08 and I am going skip out on my sentence today! My shortie supervisor has left and that faggot is not here too! The other people in the office seriously do not bother about me, so I am just going to leave without saying goodbye!

Correction, 6 more days!

People~

That's right people! 6 more days! Woohoo!

My girls originally had loose plans to meet up on a Friday or Saturday to celebrate the end of the damned ITP. Now, more or less we'll be going out on a Saturday evening! But someone who does not stand up to 150cm, said that she might have other plans! :( She said we did not confirm that day, but i think that its like common sense that you should keep those days open or at least ask first if you want to make plans! I mean, we have been celebrating the end of each chapter of school since we started! Haiz... Guess the whole gang is not going to be there on that day then..

On to a more lighter topic, something miraculous has happened to my computer at work! I logged on to my blog, and when I started to post this post, i noticed the ''add a picture'' icon in the window! Haha... I can now update pictures! So here are some pictures that I hope will entertain you...

I took this during my lunch break. The guy did not have any safety wires attached to him! It's only 2 stories, but if he fell on his neck...

A cute-looking cow at Hereen

My hazelnut latte at secret recipe at IMM. It made me hyper!

My Rataouille wallpaper that I made using paint.

The ladies' toilet at work that I frequent often because I am so bored. I took this while sitting on the bench. I even fell asleep there on the bench once! Haha...

Me with Sham, the other attachee here, on his last day of work. He's from TP!

Yes, this is me updating my blog. Keep in mind that I took this while other people were still in the office! Haha...

Hope ya'll enjoy that!

Interesting quiz...

People,

My friend Mr Lim asked me to take a quiz regarding what your possible majors could be. I took the quiz and here are my results...

WHAT MAJOR IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
You scored as a English/Journalism/Comm
You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in Communication, English, Film, Journalism, Literature, or Writing.

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

I knew it... What am I even doing in an engineering course? Because stupid Mass Comm wouldn't take me in just because my L1R4 are too high! Haha... I mean, what does frickin' math have to do with the media?? (Not that I haven't gotten my share of A's for math before) Haiz... If only Singapore admits students with proper screening sessions to access who really deserves to be in the course! Or like the Americans, they admit you first then you chose what you want to major in (I think). Anyway, I am over it already, accepted my fate and all... haha!

8 more days!!!

People!

I can't believe it, but I have survived 26 days and there is only 8 more days left! (take not that the days that I am talking about exclude weekends) Some of my friends are actually enjoying themselves! Of course, I find that extremely hard to believe in, considering that I am in this hellhole! But I am happy that not everyone has to ''suffer'' like me! Haha... At least I can slack off the whole day though! So while slacking off, I came up with a million dollar solution to improve my working place! Here's...

10 ways to improve my working environment
1. Put some music in the room
2. Have a team bonding session, like bonding camp
3. Put some art into the room and not posters on safety, security, etc…
4. Get some damn plants in here! There is no greenery whatsoever…
5. Deodorizer, because it is a WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT and there is a very curious smell there
6. Getting rid of cubicles would help with the communication, but that would mean I have no privacy to slack off! Hee…
7. Have a TV in the pantry, because it is one of the best ice-breakers!
8. Paint the walls with colour! White walls may help you concentrate, but it makes the environment look extremely dull.
9. Have the carpets cleaned! Dirty carpets bring the environment down and induce a sense of submission.
10. Encourage creativity, or else all your workers will become stiffs, like the ones here
Hope ya'll find that interesting!

So in the office i have plenty of free time which I spend watching Supernatural! I only watch it because Kal has been bugging me to watch it! So i struck a deal with her that she must watch Lost since I am now watching Supernatural! Haha... I watched the entire first season in less than one week! That's 22 episodes worth, each about 40 minutes long! I am now on the sesond season, 3rd episode. So while watching it, I made some interesting screencaps...

OH NOOOOO! I've dropped my coffee!

Did you hear something?
My god... There's a mini coffee bar below our eye level!

Sniff... We had coffee there all along...

What? We had this coffe grinder here all along? Haiz...

On Monday, Mum got her paycheck, and she bought me the Swatch watch I had been eyeing for a while now! She agrees it's nice too, so that's why she bought it! I am sooooo happy and thankful that I have this watch! Here is my new watch! It was taken on my bed and the bedsheet looks more pink than it actually is!

So, ever since I watched the movie ''Waitress'' (and absolutely liked it), I have been nursing a craving for pie! This is because the movie is about the life of this waitress who enjoys making pies. It's nicer than it sounds... Well, today my mum went to Ikea, and she saw this apple pie! So she bought it home and before I devoured it, I took this silly picture...
