Triple Celebration!

Yes, my exams, stupid projects, etc, are FINALLY OVER!!! Now I can finally breathe properly and have a good night's rest... But my school life is also over... :( I'll miss spending time with you girls! I could not have gone through Poly without all of you! Looking forward to the chalet! :)
So, after my last paper on Tuesday, I've been going out doing stuff for the past 3 days...

Tuesday
After the paper, which I could have done much better, I needed to pee badly. So I went with 3 of my friends to the loo. There's usually 6 of us in a group, and by the time I came out, there was only 4 of us. The 2 small ones walked away with the crowd. Maybe they didn't see us... Hee... Anyway, it was a lil' sad cos that was our last day of school and we all split up so suddenly. I wanted to have a drink at the canteen at least, cos the next day not all of us could make it for the proposed celebration. But we all split up and I decided not to get worked up about it, its just not nice. So after that, I went to meet mum and waited about an hour for her. We then went to Orchard to watch ''P.S. I Love You''. I wanted to eat someplace different, but we ended up eating at the food court. Never mind, the chicken rice was pretty good! And the movie was great too. I was tearing up a few times and I managed to control until only 1 tear came out! :)

Wednesday
Met Cai Ling, Yu En and Kalthoum at Vivocity to watch Jumper. I'd already watched Jumper but I didn't mind watching it again. It could've been better, but the effects and charismatic actors made up for the lack of information! We wacthed it at GV Max and I swear I'd never seen that theatre so empty before. I think there was only a 30% occupancy at most! But before that, Cai Ling, Yu En and I went to this Japenese restaurant to eat a rather hurried lunch, cos we were rushing to catch our show. The food was great... And the view was pretty good too cos we got a window seat. I wonder what they're building opposite at Sentosa... Anyway, after the show, we walked around Vivo looking at stuff and then went home. This was the only picture that I remembered to take. There was some more, but my phone's having a little problem with the transfer of pictures..

Thursday
Wow. This day had a lot of firsts in it! I woke up at about 11, slacked in front of the TV until mum went off to work. Played Sims, watched American Idol (this year's winner is so gonna be a guy! Go Michael! Or if its a girl, either Carly or Amanda...), then got ready to go to Jess' house. My cousins and I were gonna have a sleepover, so we went there first to put our stuff down.

We (me Ruyi and Jac) took a cab to meet Jess at Clarke Quay. Jess wanted to eat so we sat at Mac first. There, Jac and I discovered we forgot to bring our IDs!!! So Ruyi went to meet her friends first at MOS, while the rest of us went back to Jess' house. We gave Jac a complete makeover from that ridiculous pair of jeans she was wearing to a retro looking outfit! Then we took another cab back to MOS. We gave Ruyi a big hug cos by the time we got there at 12+, it was her birthday! Happy 19th! We all gave her a kiss on the cheek... :) I had my first screwdriver (drink) and Martell straight up. We were playing drinking games with Ruyi's bunch of about 5 guy friends. I helped my cousins drink a lil' cos Ruyi felt like puking and Jess was really high already! Needless to say, I did NOT like the Martell by itself. I also didn't like 1 of Ruyi's friends who said something offensive when he didn't even know me!!!

Another first is my first puff. Yep, Ruyi was ''kind'' enough to offer me her bud and I took a puff. I didn't feel or taste anything... I think I did it wrong. Hee... I don't intend on doing it anyway, I like my skin the way it is now!

We went to the toilet so many times I lost track! One time, we bumped into this girl with a ''barely there'' outfit. She was standing outside a stall while her friend was peeing with the door open! I wasn't expecting it and saw her red underwear. *widens eyes* I quickly walked out after that!

After that, we went dancing! The dance floor was pretty empty. I prefer it when it's packed... I had so much space I could do the hustle! Ha... On the dance floor I had my first ''dance partner''. The dude looked about late twenties or early thirties and apparently indian, according to my cousins. He appeared something else to me, but I couldn't really tell.. Anyway, it was the first time I had... something rub against me! His hands... I had to keep it from going places where it shouldn't go! It was a lil' weird dancing with a complete stranger... Anyway, we danced for awhile until I was starting to feel a lil' uncomfortable, cos by then he was totally everywhere, then I told him I wanted to go to the loo, intending to ditch him! By then it was about 3+. Jess still wanted to dance, so she did that with Jac while I rested a lil' with Ruyi. After awhile, we went to find Jess and Jac. Guess who was there? I was totally unprepared until he started doing his thing again. *rolls eyes* Then he told me ''your friends (my cousins) don't seem to like us (he and his friend)''. His friend tried to dance with Jac and she didn't like it and blew him off! Haha... After that he moved away and a lil' more after that, I got pretty bored and started to look at my surroundings. Some pretty interesting observations were made... :)

Alright, so clubbing was over. We went to Mac again to eat breakfast. Jess was still high and she was muttering some really funny stuff! She even kissed a Maroon 5 poster! After that, we went to sit at the river, after passing a bunch of skater guys who said ''Ladies, ladies, ladies... you're drunk!'' In which Ruyi denied that we weren't. Jess was continuing to talk crap while i encouraged her... Hee... We wanted to take a bus home so we just sat/lay down there until 6+. It turns out that by that time, the train was already running! When we boarded the train, everyone was staring at us. Some of them were going to work and even some school kids! Paiseh... Then we took a bus back and stumbled into Jess' house at around 7.30. Crashed until 1+ then went home...

left to right: me, Jac, Ruyi, Jess
left to right: me, Ruyi, Jac, JessMe with the birthday girl!

Later, I watched Fools Gold with mum. It was alright... Could've been better, but once again the actors and this time the scenery made up for it...

So that's my 3 day round-up! Have fun ya'll! :)

Valentine's day

But that's yeasterday... I'm taking a break from studying Workplace Safety and Health, my 2nd last paper. On Feb 19, I'll be FREE!!! For now, it's posting time!

Yesterday, my cousin Charleston and his long time girlfriend got MARRIED! At my age, marriage is not for me, but they totally desrve to be married! So now I have a new cousin-in-law! We all call her ''Girl'' to avoid confusion, cos her name is pretty close to mine. I'm still not sure of her actual name though! Hee... We had Dim Sum at this restatuarant in China Square and I got pretty full! We arrived late and the ''party'' was in full swing by then. Charleston looked like one of the brothers in the 2007 movie ''Brothers'' and Girl looked oh so sweet in a blush-pink tube dress that dropped elegantly to the floor. She's gotta be the hottest bride i've seen! Since it was Valentine's Day, Charleston gave flowers to all the women. Most of us got red roses and my mum got a real nice lavender bouquet cos it was her birthday! So sweet of them... We stayed at the place for about 2 hours before we went off to Great World City for Mum's b'day celebration...

Upon reaching Great World, we immediately went to buy Mum's b'day present: a painting of a African lady. I booked tickets to ''Juno'' the previous night, so my gift to her was the movie tickets and the refreshments! Gosh, next year i gotta get something bigger cos i'll be working then! While we were walking around before dinner, I saw this incredibly cute hamster and just couldn't resist taking a photo, even though we weren't allowed! :) After that, we (my family) had our usual dinner at Kenny Rogers and after the movie, Dad came to pick us (me, mum and sis) up. Dad bought a cake for mum, which was so unexpected! He never buys anything! Haha... it was a cute lil' heart shaped cake with fresh cream, roses (the edible kind), strawberries and adorable pink stuff sprinkled all over!

It was a nice cake and a nice day!

Something not so nice is the American Idol decisions! I like Josiah and Kyle! Josiah (the one living in his car) just screwed up, but only cos he's so young! The talent in him is there man... At least Simon agrees. And Kyle (the one that wanted to be president) is so cute. Some of the other guys chosen were forgettable!!! Why the hell were they chosen?? And the last 2 females.. I like the white girl. Of course i'm no racist, I just think she has a lot more charisma in her. Plus, I'm a sucker for singers who can play an instrument, I always prefer them over those who can just sing, and she plays an instrument! Sigh... at least the talent this year is pretty good. So far, I like the Australian guy and the Irish girl. I hope they get in!

3 more days to complete freedom! :)

It's Over!

FYP is finally done!!! No need to see the stupid old fag ever again! No need to find out information on renewable energy!!!

Speaking of the old fag, he was extremely rude during our presentation. He was constantly on his phone and even went out a few times, blocking our slide and distracting us while going out! He even dosed off at one point! Stupid fucking old man. I'm so gonna write a complain letter to the director. And maybe even one to him! We'll see how things go...

After the presentation, Sammi and Teo asked a couple of questions and then we were done! We hung out around GV room and canteen 1 for awhile then took a cab to my place. Just as we left, i flagged a cab down. There was another one directly behind! We arrived at my place at the same time. Everyone had been here before, so there was no grand tour. We immediately sat down to eat KFC, watched Hidalgo, did Yu Sheng, sent Kalthoum off, watched Step Up, stuffed ourselves silly with chocolates and sweets, enjoying our few hours of freedom before we had to start studying for our exams. Just 2 more papers and everything will be over! So bittersweet...

This Chinese New Year was pretty good! Last year was pretty dull, we didnt take much pictures, but this year we took a lot! Went to the same places, gambled, lost $1 in total and saw everyone... Good enough for me! Now I look forward to this Sunday when relatives from mum and dad's side will come and even my sis' dragon boat friends. A lot of them are like 1.8m +(angmohs), so our house will look damn small that day, together with the amgmoh giants and all the relatives. I'm kinda hoping my nieces and nephew don't come, cos it'll be way too crowded, even though I kinda enjoy entertaining them.

February 10

I miss you.
It's a year today,
I still miss you
Of course I do.
You were in my life
for 15 years.
How could anyone forget 15 years?
Ever since I could remember
you were there.
Now you're not.
It's sudden, it's different.
I don't like it.
You weren't well, I understand.
For me...
you just went to sleep.
The day you left,
I hurt so much.
An emptiness,
a void,
I've never felt before.
Who knew you could hurt that much?
Now you've gone
where I can't follow.
The house is different,
it won't be the same.
I found solace
in an alternative rock band.
You were always giving.
Your last gift was
the realisation
of a 6-year mistake.
I miss holding you
in my arms.
The way it feels
isn't so clear anymore.
Funny how that happens,
you lose touch,
with things that you
can't touch anymore.
Your smell it lingers,
ever with me.
Your face is with me
indefinitely.
Your life,
your memory,
with me always.
I love you.
Forevermore,
I'll love you.

Stupid people

One of them is my FYP (final year project) supervisor. Today we had a meeting with him. The first thing he said to us was: '' I think your report is way below standards, but there's nothing I can do about it''. Well, if you didn't confuse the heck out of us, we wouldn't be int his predicament in the first place! And the sad thing is... our FYP has a ''teacher on student evaluation'', but no ''student on teacher'' evaluation. WTF. There's not even a peer assessment!!! The world is really unfair man. We were doing a fine job in the beginning. But it was his idea to change what we wanted to do. Then he also suggested changing our project 2 entirely. That means that project 1, which we were doing for 6 months, is basically void! And now our ''FYP'' just feels like 6 months work! He confuses us so much and then he expects so much from us. Sometimes he even forgets what he said. We call him ''old fag''. I think this stupid old man should just go retire. Leave the students the fuck alone..

Another person is my groupmate for ''Steel Desing and Detailing'', SDD. She has done basically nothing for this module. For our peer assessment, I only gave her 15%. I just hope she doesn't have to stay back one more semester to repeat this module. The rest of my group really put in a lot of effort. Like when we did our model, we spent 8 hours together on a Saturday to do it and I spent another 8 hours or so finishing it on Sunday. What's her excuse for not coming to do it? On Sat she has to work and on Sun she has her Chingay parade rehearsal. WTF.In the past, we used to give her alternatives on whether she can do stuff or not, but we've become so numb to her that we just gave up on asking her. My groupmate, also working part-time, asked why she can't take off. I wonder too. She may need the money, but come on la, use ur brain. For 2 1/2 semesters you've experienced ''project rush'', you don't know how to plan your schedule so that during the last few weeks of school you don't work? Now you've pissed your groupmates off and you've learnt nothing. It's her loss, not mine, cos I learnt something and bonded with my groupmate. As a friend, I'm worried that she wil continue like this when she goes into the working world. I just hope she learns... soon.

Only 1 1/2 weeks of actual lessons. Then 2 more weeks of exam (I only have 2), after which I AM DONE! I'm a lil sad about it, but I guess its just time to move into the next phase in life. Girls, I will miss spending time together like we do now. Even if we meet up after graduation, it'll never be the same. But it's alright, we just gotta keep moving forward...

Guess What?

I'm still doing projects! Haha... At least I'm done with 3 projects. Now all that's left is FYP and some WET shit (funny, since that's a module about wastewater technology!)

I'm reading all these real interesting blogs of my friends, and I find my life just absolutely DULL! It's not like I can't go to clubs or have sleepovers or just take a whole day to just hang out somewhere, it's just that I'm trying to be responsible and so I stay away from all these, for now. But its ok, because I still get to watch movies and do a little shopping, which is all I need for relaxation!

I learnt this in a (sort of) psychology class: you can't not be affected by the people around you. That is so true. When I was 12, and was hanging out with a bunch of really naughty boys, I did some of the most stupidest things ever. But now in Poly, I'm glad to say that all my friends are really good, guai young ladies! And that is why I think that i'm being so guai at this point in time! :)

Don't worry, after my final exams, I will have a chalet and a vacation to Vietnam to write about! Then that won't be dull! Also, my cousin will be getting married! Their ROM date is on Feb 14, Valentine's day and my mum's birthday! Darn.. I still dunno what to get her!

Lastly, congratulations to Uncle Eddy and his wife on their new baby girl! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys on CNY!

Hoping ya'll are well,
K.T.

It's the weekend...

On Friday, the girls and I were feeling nostalgic, so during our 2 hour break, after lunch at SIM, we went over blk 50 (where we spent practically the whole of semester 3.1) taking pictures! Here's 2 of my favourites...

After school, I went with mum to John Little Orchard cos we needed to exchange curtains. After that, we went to Sakae Sushi at Heeren to eat. The service was HORRIBLE!!! Even the manager was horrible. We arrived at around 6 and she couldn't give us a booth seat cos there were reservations. Then she said ''unless you can eat fast enough and finish at 7?''. You're the MANAGER and you suck. Later on she was arraging some tables and she dragged them until everyone in the restaurant was staring at her. And the waitress that first served us... she looked like she hated her job and really did not want to be there. We lost our appetite and in the end did leave at 7. We rushed through our meal just to get out of there! Sakae Sushi at Heeren SUCKS!!!

After that we went to watch 3:10 to Yuma at Cathay Cineleisure with my sis. It was a nice show!
Russell Crow + Christian Bale = overload of charisma + a good time

I bought a pair of sandals from newurbanmale and a few DVDs. I also bought a CD by Ash called Twilight of the Innocents. They're not bad! I'll want to find out more about them once I have enough time... :)

On Saturday, I fulfilled my urge to go kbox with Yu En. We sang from about 4 to 8+. I'm quite impressed with their song selection, considering its a mostly chinese song kinda place. They had really new songs like Bubbly, Pictures of You, Soulmate and my fav of the new... Paralyzer! It was pretty low for me, and the bad thing about kbox is that you can't really adjust the key to what's bst suited for you. :( Nevertheless, we had a good time!

Sunday... I don't feel the diference these days. I must sound like an old woman... ''projects so sian...'' Kinda like my grandma, who is here now! Haha... but she's like 84, so she has a good excuse! :) Anyway, we did a little spring cleaning today. Mum's washing the cushion and couch covers now so our couch looks rather plain. We also changed the curtains. The hall: from brown to red. My sis' room: from tansparent green to opaque turquoise. My room: from red to purple. My new bedsheet is purple too, a similar shade to my curtain, so this year's theme for my room is ''Royally Purple''! Haha... We also arranged our massive DVD collection, so now it looks neater. And we finally found a good use for the very cute purple ''collapsable'' dolls, as you can see in the picture below, together with my new curtains and poster arrangement...

Just so you know... these DVDs that you see in the front are not all. There's 2 shelves of DVDs and VCDs in the backbround! Hee... My mum just loves to buy them... and I enjoy it too! :)

Alright, now back to projects... :(

Hope ya'll are well!
