Merry Christmas everyone!
My Christmas day started out looking glum. It seemed like everyone of my girl cousins made their own plans and it looked like I was about to have a rather lonely Christmas. This thought was brought on by the fact that in recent years, family taditions are no longer seen as traditions, but rather an event that they just simply have to attend, instead of wanting to. But I knew my cousins would pull through, and we ended up having a rather good time!
I went to Shaun's house around 5 plus. Me, Fran, Jonathan, Ruyi, Jac and her friends went to watch I Am Legend at West Mall. I watched it on Christmas Eve, but I didn't mind watching it again. Will Smith is just so watch-able! And its a good movie! Before the movie, we went to Coffee Bean and I think Jonathan heard a little too much than what he wanted! Hee... I found out some stuff about my lil'cuz Fran too! :) So after the movie and some money issues between Jac's friends and us, we went back to Shaun's house. We exchanged the rest of our presents (Jac didn't buy us anything) and almost played Risk, but decided to go sing Karaoke instead. We sang a couple of English oldies and a few more Chinese oldies! There was also the traditional teasing of Jac and messing around with each other...
All in all, it turned out to be a very nice Christmas! :)
Shaun just has to play his games...
Mum and I... The chocolates are good man!
The girl cousins...
We found Fran rather attactive that night! We've become lesbians! Haha...

Zouk
Yup, I finally went clubbing for the first time. Went over to Ting's house around 9 and hung out until close to 11 when we left. We got there early and walked around the area while waiting for Ruyi. I got a sandwich and we slowly made our way back to Zouk. While walking outside Grand Copthorne and fully submerged in Jac's accomodations (hee...), I stepped on something soft. It let out a rather long squeel. I didn't realise it until Ting went ''ew, you stepped on a rat!!!'' Oh damn, I felt so bad for the rat! Unlike most people, I rather like rats. Not a whole bunch at one time, but when it is just one alone, I find them rather amazing. They're very resilient creatures and I think they're rather cute! Anyway, I panicked for about a minute before I calmed down. We met up with Ruyi, and decided to go in without Jac first. It was rather slow, considering it was Friday night, the main area and around 12+. We went on to this other area and danced around for about an hour. Jac didn't enjoy herself too much. As for me, it was alright I guess. I can see why people go there sometimes, but I wouldn't like to go too often. :(
After dancing for a bit, Ruyi wanted to go out. So we went out and sat at this staircase that smelled like urine! Ruyi almost immediately lay her head on my shoulder and was semi-unconscious. Funny, cos she only had about 3 drinks. Anyway, long story short, she threw up at that staircase. Afterwhich, I told Ting to get out bags and head home. Since I needed help getting her into my house, the cousins ended up staying the night. We got home at around 3 and took care of the very dangerous Ruyi until about 5. I cleared up until 6, took a 30 min nap and got up again to check on them. They went home around 8.
It was an average night for me, which could have been better, if only someone hadn't caused us so much trouble. It was alright though, cos we had quite a good time laughing at the funny antics of Miss Ruyi! Muahahaha....
Thanks to the 2 guys that helped us! Sorry we crashed your night! Hee...
Jac was there too, but she arrived after we took this picture and we danced after that. :)

MCR ROCKED MY BRA OFF!!!
Literally! The mosh pit crowd was so violent and rowdy that when jumping, my bra strap was slowly slipping off my shoulders! And it was soooo tight that I had no space to pull it back up! Haha... Seriously, the crowd was the rowdiest I have EVER experienced. They were pushing back and forth all the time! Within the first 15 minutes, there were quite a few people being pulled out cos they couldn't take it. The security guy even had to shine his torchlight to the floor to see if anyone had fallen down! This drove Gerard to say something like ''If you see people falling down, you fucking pick them up, alright?'' No one says ''fuck'' like he does! Haha...
Then there was this stupid vibrator teenager, with long hair, in front of me, and she would push her butt back against me occasionally. Stupid fag. I don't think she was past 16. During the fast songs, she vibrated all the way and when head banging came about, her hair was like tiny whips. I made it a point of putting my elbow right where her head would bang and I was succesful! Hee...
I'm not gonna censor the swear words cos he said lots of it, and it it just a word. Plus, I'm rushing to revise for my WET paper!
Here's the song list (in random order):
The Sharpest Lives
I'm Not Okay
This Is How I Disappear
Dead
Welcome To The Black Parade
I Don;t Love You
House of Wolves (my sis was estatic on this one!)
Cancer
Mama
Sleep
Teenagers
The Desert Song
Helena
Cemetery Drive
You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison
Give Ém Hell Kid
Famous Last Words
I was a little sad that they did not play Disenchanted. That is like a fan fav too. And it was the only song on The Black Parade they didn't play! We were in about the 2nd row, stage right. We were standing near Ray's corner and Gerard occasionally came over to our side. Frank did not come at all! And Mikey came over too. The best thing was, they entered and left from our side!!! And during the fake exit, I could see Ray the whole time taking a break and having some water!
If I were to say everything I wanna say in sentence form, this post will be half the distance of the Wall of China. So here it is in point form...
Highlights of the MCR concert:
- We stood there for almost 2 hours waiting for them to come out
- When ''Basketcase'' came on during the pre-show music, the crowd sang along
- Some people blew up what looked like 4 or 5 condoms and passed them around by throwing them in the air. They were all eventually popped.
- When the greatest band on Earth came out, I cried a little cos it was the realization of a dream!
- I was pushed, shoved, nudged, etc in the mosh pit. I'm just happy that it was not a guy standing behind me, but my sister! I remembered a guy was standing behind me during Avril's 1st concert, and my 15 year old self did not like that!
- One guy behind me had a confession: ''Gerard, I love you! I wanna have your babies!''
- During one of the many interludes, Mikey came over to our side and had to inhale
his nebuliser (like an asthma inhaler). He looked so vulnerable and sweet. He
then came forward and pumped his hands in the air which made us screeeaaammm!
- Up close, Frank looks shorter, Ray looks slightly better, Mikey is skinnier, Bob
wasn't there, I couldn't see Matt Cortez and Gerard is 10 times more handsome!!!
- Gerard and Mikey really look like brothers in real life! You can see the resemblance! I don't look like my sister much... But our mannerisms are the same, unlike Gerard and Mikey.
- Gerard, on behalf of the band, said ''this is our 1st time in Singapore! We wanna
thank all of you for making us feel welcome and I sincerely mean that. Its
amazing that we even get to play Rock n Roll for a living, let alone fly tens of
thousands of miles from that home to play for you guys. Thank you very much,''
right before singing Black Parade.
- Gerard also said ''We're gonna fuck you so hard you're gonna have trouble walking
tomorow!'' And I did! After jumping the night away, my calves and thighs were
hurting the next day cos 1 foot was on the mini-platform and the other on the
floor; it was a balancing act. My neck hurt too cos I was craning it so much and
I had to look straight up just to get some decent air.
- Gerard looked at our direction several times!
- While singing ''Prison'', Gerard looked in our direction yet again, and very
quickly on his left side, FLASHED US HIS RED BOXERS!!! It was the best part. And
he looked sooo sexy doing that! I can't imagine is he was really flirting. I
would just faint! :))))
- In between songs, Frank came to the centre of the stage and drank some water. He
threw the bottle he drank into the audience. He had another unopened bottle and I
just put my hand up to see if I could catch it. He threw the bottle, it bounced
off the hands of the guy that was was standing in front of me, filtered down to
the torso area of the people around, AND I CAUGHT IT!!!! I was screaming my head
off and immediately tucked it under my shirt!
Mikey and his nebuliser.
The big square is a limited edition Black Parade Vinyl record!
My sis and I with Frank's bottle in my hands!
It was the best night of my life. In the immortal speech of Gerard Way, they showed us the motherfucking time of our lives!

Lovely weather...
Yes, I love the rain and the cooling temperature that comes along with it! I loved it so much that I even missed school yeasterday because of it! Haha... weather so shiok to sleep in that I slept until 9.50 when my class was at 10! Oops...
Nothing much going on except for common test and projects. Our ''break'' is coming up and for 2 weeks, its pretty much going to be reserved all for projects! No banana break la...
While I have no life now, I still have to eat! So here's another one of my food updates...
A long time ago, my mum made us dinner when I came home from school. My one was on the left. Salmon, scrambled eggs and baked beans. YUM. Mum cooks the best meals sometimes... It was sinfully good and I enjoyed every minute of it! :)
Last Sunday, before we watched a movie, we went to Ichiban Sushi, fast becoming our favourite places to eat at JP. We wanted to have a snack, but ended up ordering quite a bit! I wanted salmon (again), so I ordered this dish that I never had before. Wahlau, their portion so much! I couldn't finish it. I just ate the salmon and left more than half the rice behind!
After watching the Golden Compass on Wednesday, we wandered around Vivo and came across this Swarovski crytal Christmas tree. Wow. Imagine a Swarovski crystal curtain... :)
I had read the Golden Compass (Northern Lights) before the movie. I think I read it when I was 15 or 16. I quite liked it. I prefer the 2md and 3rd book though. Which is good because the way the first movie ended, definitely meant that there would be sequels! Unfortunately, I could not remember much of the details of the book, but it gave me a chance to judge the movie seprately! It was rather long and Nicole Kidman was GREAT! The polar bear fight really shocked me. I thought it was a kid-friendly show. Think: the fight between the T-rex's and King Kong in Jackson's ''King Kong''. You know what I mean... :) Overall and alright film. A bit long though...

One step closer to MCR!
I really like today... I woke up at nearly 12 (yikes!), which normally would have made me grumpy, cos half the day was gone, but I think the weather kept my spirits up. The raniy/windy/cooling weather has been really nice these days... I love the end of the year. Anyway, Mum suggested going to watch Enchanted again, cos it is just so funny, and cos there are nealry no other shows for us to watch. I did not want to watch too scary a show... I was waiting around for her, and was asking who could come along with me to Clarke Quay, cos I heard that the Black Paraders were gonna be there! Haha... Dad took Mum and I in his cab to see the Orchard lights and on our way back, I randomly suggested changing the station to 98.7. He actually changed it to 98.0 at first, but for some reason, I decided to check whether it was on 98.7, and luckily I did! The Black Paraders advertisement came on, and that's how I knew they were going to be at Clarke Quay! Ting agreed to accompany me, so I took the train to Clarke Quay,we had dinner at Bily Bombers at The Central (I had mashed potatoes and a lemon milkshake), and started our quest for the Black Paraders. After walking around for 15 to 20 mins, we saw two girls that were running with the Sistic tickets in hand. We kinda ignored thaT. Then, we saw another two girls walking rather calmly. So, I asked them if they got the special passes, and they told me that I was just around the corner from getting them! I RAN towards the direction of the Black Paraders, and quickly took my tickets out. A Paul Twohill lookalike took my tickets, marked them, then gave me the passes! I'm gonna be near the front! I walked away with a smile on my face...
My special passes that allow my sis and I to go straight to the front! I'm a Q-jumpa!!!
Shan Wee and I. This marks the second time I've seen him. I don't know what drove me to take this picture with him, but the other girls were asking him, so I thought ''why not?''. Hee...

PHEW!
I've just been swamped with school! Only this weekend did I get a break. I rested the whole of Saturday and even managed to exercise! Then I went to Shaun's house to hang out with him, Jess and Jac. Uncle Albert bought some new (leather) couches! They're damn comfortable, so much better as compared to the past where there were hardly any chairs! We watched Resident Evil Apocalypse and for the first time, I felt comfortable up there! :) Then we really just hung out for the rest of the night...
This is long overdue, but on Thurs, Jess and I went to an SIM talk. I waited around for hours in school! I love my lappie... Anyway, I just accompanied her and nearly fell asleep during the presentation! The attendance was rather poor and pathetic. SIM looks quite dull from the inside... everywhere looks the same! After the presentaion (on a hotel management course), I went home and practically collapsed on the bed! And this is without really attending any CCA events! That's partly why I did not want to get too involved in CCAs...
Jess and I at the SIM presentation...
I saw this while walking home from the bus stop on Friday. This is why living right next to an empty field is good! There are no obstructions, so you can see the moon clearly! During certain times of the year, it is really big and sometimes when I lie on my bed, I can see the moon! That white spot in the middle of the picture is the moon! I swear it looks bigger than in the picture...
OMG, I just heard one of my fav songs from MCR, Disenchanted, being played on the radio! I didn't know you can request a song that is not a single! :)
I heard the devastating news of the Singapore Dragon Boat Racers on Saturday, and my heart goes out to them. My sister is an active dragon boat member, it is a fun sport, and I can't imagine such a tragic incident happening to such a happy sport.
Peace

Fun Day!
On Tuesday, it is supposed to be our project day. But one person in my group could not make it and I did not want to see the old hag, so we ''drew lots'' and decided that Shereen has to be the one to come up with an excuse for the old hag while I would be the free one cos I did not come last week! Haha... So that meant that I had a day free! I called May Ann up and we went out! It's been a long time since we last went out, just the two fo us, so I am glad that we could finally do it!
I left my house at around 1.10 and met May Ann at 1.50 at the SP bus stop. Quite cool that I reach so fast! Anyway, we wanted to go Holland V to eat at this ice cream place so we changed to 106. Being the blur people that we are, we got lost! We missed the bus stop and ended up at the Condo area further down the road! We thought of crossing over and taking a bus back to Holland V, but were lazy and decided to go Marina Square.
At Marina Square, we searched for somewhere to eat. I wanted to eat western, so we went to this American restaurant and I had ''grilled chicken with mushrooms with tortilla wrap'' while May Ann had some powdery mocha thing. Then later on, we had a ''death by gummies'' mudpie. The chicken was good, but I did not like the mudpie. I would definitely considet gong back there!
After lunch, we were wandering around, sort of shopping when we decided to go kbox! They have a whole slew of new English songs, and I wanted to sing them! They even had Kate Nashe's Foundations! So weird! Never knew they were that advanced... The first song we sang was Umbrella and it was the last one too! I have a video of it, but the camera cut me off at 3 mins, right before I sang out of key! Muahaha...
We then went to Esplanade where I bought their last Draco Malfoy wand! They said they had problems ordering in new stock because the last Potter book made Draco's wand very popular! Haha... I wanted to take bus home, but I think because of the ASEAN meeting, there was a big jam. One police officer was shouting at the cars to ''go, go''. I mean, they are in the car and can't hear you, what are you shouting for? He also gave a bad impression to the German Tourists that were trying to cross the road. We took MRT instead, and on the way there, there was an exhibition for young artists. You can see how young they are by looking at the top left corner of the picture. Wow, makes me wonder what am I doing on my lazy ass! Haha...

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Based on the title, I thought it would be a lame show. Well, it can't compare to the likes of Les Miserable, of course, but it is certainly a nice show! The show was based on the film, which was based on the book by Ian Fleming. Ian Fleming was most noted for creating James Bond, of course. I wasn't supposed to watch it in the first place, my sister was supposed to watch it with her boyfriend. But, her boyfriend had to go to Japan with his family for their holiday, so I replaced him! It was the best seat I have ever sat at at the Esplanade! They were the most expensive tickets, and were right on the floor! The first row was ''A'' and my sister and I were in row ''o''. I found we were just far enough, but not too far, to enjoy the view of the whole stage! My sister was asleep throughout most of the first half due to her energy absorbing activities before the show... but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The actors were real charismatic and the set design was just fantastic! I found their creation of the car was admirable indeed. With the very good lighting technique, they certainly created the illusion that the car was really flying! I loved the two lead actors, particularly the leading man who played the part of ‘’caring father’’ really well. Right in front of us, there was a real life ‘’caring father’’. He’s American and I know this because while he was walking into the middle of the row, he said ‘’sorry ma’am’’ or ‘’sorry sir’’ to everyone he passed! Even the kids! Then he had a little Math lesson with his son (about 5 years old) by asking him which was seat 12 and seat 13. Aww…. He later went on to explain what was going on in the hall while we were waiting and he changed his son’s T-shirt to a thicker one! It was really one of those ‘’melt your heart moments’’! I started to think ‘’ I wish my Dad was like that’’. Then my sister and I agreed on one point, which was: ‘’we don’t really care!’’
Muahaha…
So here are some pictures I took after the show…
My sister and I walking towards the Esplanade taxi stand. We of course weren't allowed to take pictures inside, so this was the best I could do! The Christmas lights were nice too...
My souvenirs: a programme book, mini car, tickets and a good evening's memory!
I took a cab home and saw this cute cat. I decided to pet it. It kept rubbing itself against me and followed me home! At one point, it BIT me!!! There was no puncture, so no rabies, fortunately. It followed me and went in until my kitchen! Luckily my aunts were at home and they helped me chase it out, while I lured it out with a container filled with a little milk. It did not drink the milk, but I was glad it was gone! Phew!
Just to get everyone into a Christamas mood, I saw this really nice display at West Mall. Of course, you can tell it's at an eye shop. I really liked the use of different coloured crystals, giving it a very cheery look.
22 more days to MCR!!!
Phew!

Linkin Park
On 13 November 2007, Linkin Park rocked the Singapore Indoor Stadium. I was fortunate to witness this event.
LINKIN PARK ROCKS!
The event details said that the concert would start at 8. Well, they did not start until around 9.20. And the concert was a little short, lasting only slightly over an hour. Nevertheless, they rocked every single person inside that stadium! As we all know, Singapore crowds are very hard to please and to get to participate. No surprise since we have been cultivated with the ''sit down shut up and listen'' motto our whole lives. Moving on... the crowd was still sitting down until the 3rd or 4th song when Mike Shinoda asked the ''people in the back'' to stand up. Surprise, surprise, they did! And they stood up for most of the concert too! Except for the slower songs... ''Shadow of the Day'' was a nice moment when the crowd sort of went a little quiet while still singing the lyrics and some of us took out our lighters! ''The Little Things Give You Away'' was a pretty neat piece as the echo of Chester's voice was replicated just like in the album!
There were 2 more memorable moments I remembered. The first I find to be a bit offensive and ignorant on their part. Chester, after the 2nd song, asked the crowd ''can you understand me?'' This is not his first time here, and no one bothered to tell them that we speak English? And if they can go to freakin Japan and speak to them, then of course they can speak to us! Anyway, it could have been a slip of the tongue. The second was when Chester went into the crowd and after performing that song, he said ''you people are ruthless. You steal my watch... break my arm''. Something like that. Here's the video of that moment...
I was quite far back (the $90 ticket) so I did not manage to get too many good pictures, but I got the chance to take the ''crowd'' pictures that I love to take! :)
I can't remember which song is this, but the screen was not revealed until a few songs into the concert.
Overall, a pretty good concert. I think I would have said it was a great concert if I had a better seat, but I guess you can't have it all! Of all the concerts I've seen, I admire Chester's vocal the best. Even compared to Christina Aguilera! HIs vocal is so much harder to do and can do more damage to the vocal chords, which is why admire him being able to sing clear and then switch to ROCK! They played more of their old tunes than I expected and I love the twist on ''Breaking the Habit'' where they played a soft piano version of it before breaking into the original song.
This will definitely last me until the day of MCR!!! 24 more days!

SMU Visit
That's right, I went for an SMU open house today. I bumped into my sis' friend which was such a coincidence! She works as an admission person there and was real friendly when I told her I was my sister's sister! There was this German guy whose nationality I guessed right on the first try! His surname looked rather German, like one of the German footballer's name! Anyway, he was a funny guy and I was just thankful I did not fall asleep like I did in my actual class! Haha... I don't think I'll be going to SMU, cos I don't really like their courses there, but it was worth the trip down there to check the campus out!
They told us to meet at Blk 1 at 3. We were there at 3. The banana bus did not leave school until around 4+...
This cafe was rather cool. It certainly looked like it was sponsored by Ikea! You can't see it here, but the guy asleep on the couch (and who did not stir one bit while about 30 of us were there) is rather handsome! Hee...
Me in front of the SMU sign after everything was done. It was an alright tour, but the student that showed us around was not very enthusistic and did not speak to the crowd...
After that, En and I went to Raffles City to walk around. We went to the Guess shop and admired their shoes, then to MPH where I bought '''The Art of Ratatouille''! It was rather pricey, but I still had my ITP money, and it was something I wanted to get! Hee... :)

Lazy Sunday...
I watched Saawariya yeaterday with Mummy... I think it means ''Oh My Beloved'' It was a rather nice show! Shame that it's not in English and therefore will not get as much attention as those English films. It's such a waste that those lame Hollywood movies get more attention than almost perfect Asian films... Anyway, excellent cinematography and set design! It had a storybook feel to it. Also, a Moulin Rouge feel to it. Very Bollywood too, with all the typical dance moves (with a twist) and the typical female voice (why do they all sound so similar?) I don't know the female lead's name, but she is perfect! Prettier than Aishwarya Rai, I find... And the lead male is so loveable. Heads up to him for that wonderful ''dancing-in-nothing-but-his-towel'' scene. Ladies, there was even a short shot of his butt! Haha... My favourite scene was the one where the ''prostitute'' was singing to the male lead. Wonderful dancing and acting on the actress' part!
Here's the poster...
My verdict: Definitely a film to watch! My advice: empty your bladder before you watch this fantastic film! :)
Had breakfast at Swensen's this morning. I tried the omelette. At first they gave us the wrong order, as you can see in the middle plate on the left. They then gave us the correct one later. I spelled out F-U-S-Y, tne best I could do, 1 short of FUSSY. Hmm, I wonder if they were trying to tell us something...
My mum took the ''S'' and ''Y'' and I was left with ''FU''! I would like to say that to a certain company...
On the way to JP, there was this damn handsome Angmoh. I see a lot of them at JP these days... Anyway, I glanced over at him a few times, making sure he did not see me looking at him. He was wearing a crisp white shirt and black pants and looked oh so smart... An average height of about 1.75m. And, he was playing with what looked like his younger sister! Oh, handsome and good with the kids! Haha... What appeared to be his mum was not so good looking! My mum however, had to ruin it by saying that he was probably only 15 and therefore way too young for me. Way to ruin my day... my 19 year old self felt very old today! Haha...
I listen to ''Muttons at Midnight'' on 98.7fm a lot these days, and I like how they use ''banana'' to replace the F*** word. So I've decided to use it here! My bloody banana ITP company still have not send my 3rd and final cheque. My friend has already recived her cheque and I have not. Did I banana do something wrong to them?? It is so banana difficult to process one simple cheque? They said that it would take two weeks to proces it. Banana la. Two banana weeks have gone by and they have not send my banana cheque. Banana company...

It's Friday...
Well people, they announced it on Wednesday... the last of the Black Paraders. So I am not in it. Ah well... at least I tried! If I did not cry so much, I would have been able to beg better! Hee...
On to more lighter things...
I had a reeeaaall crazy Deepavali. I woke up at around 11, which meant I got a good 9 hours sleep, ate my breakfast, watched TV, took a nap, played Sims, then entertained my cousins at night! Real crazy huh? This is what we did...
THe bottle of Limoncino that Jess and I opened. We initially had problems opening it, I thinking that we needed a cork screw, until Jess pulled it out! Haha...
It tasted real lemoney. Not exactly very nice, but it could have been worse. I bet if there was coke, it would taste nice! Btw, its 30% alcohol and you could feel it immediately. We both had just one glass.
Jac being Jac... Sigh... Excuse my rather ''laid-back'' complexion, but I have absolutely no make-up, nothing on my face! :) Au naturale...
This doesn't concern me, but Milla Jovovich just had a baby girl! Her name is Ever Gabo J. Anderson and she weighed in at 7 pounds 8 ounces on November 3. Ever's a pretty cool name! Wonder if she is as pretty as her mum. I don't have the baby's picture, but here is the happy couple...
Took this while in the cab on the way to Jurong Point to watch Bratz (unbelievably lame, but entertaining nonetheless). Nothing like Albany's rainbows, but it's alright.

Ah Well..
People!
As the days go by, still no news of the MCR Black Paraders... :(
Nothing much going on these days except for that... It's just home and school these days for me. But, I'm not complaining! I ike things the way they are now!
Here are some more pictures of food that I ate. :)
Fruit bars were my lunch for today...
Mummy made mash potatoes and later on ham for my lunch one Saturday as I was playing Sims! Hee...
I saw this at a 7-eleven and it completely freaked me out! It seriously looked like real crabs! I thought it was just bisuits, but I ''accidentally'' broke one of them and I wasn't so sure of the result! The Japanese make the strangest of foods... except Sushi, which I love! :)
On to more interesting things... My purchases!
A movie making book that I find to be rather informative. The way it's written is also very clear. Hopefully it'll help me on what I wanna do... The heart shape thing is actually a magnet! I bought it at Molecule and it's supposed to be for pictures and notes. I haven't decided just quite what to do with it yet...
The Umbrella Academy issues 1 & 2. Now, that's an MCR fan! (notice the name ''Gerard Way'' on the cover?)
There were some more pictures I wanted to post, but a certain SAB has not given them to me! Haha...
Alright people, here's hoping your life isn't completely screwed up! Hee...

Ho Hum...
Ladies and Gentlemen (whatever's left of them anyway), I took part in the 98.7fm 'Black Paraders' contest! I still have no idea whether I made it or not, and so now I am constantly listening to the radio to hear when they are going to call the winners! They never even said which show they'll be announcing it! Then anticipation is killing me! Anyway, no matter what happens, I am happy just to try out for it! At least I had the chance to go for it!
So here's what happened...
I arrived at my destination, the scape youth park, at around 4.20 when they said it started at 5. I was one of the first few to register and had to spend my time waiting watching other people who came dressed much better than I did! There were 2 female (thank god!) Helena's and one male and female patient, the latter came with a IV drip! I have no idea how they managed to secure the hospital gown! Then there was this girl who was in front of me the entire time, she was a large girl, with ''Gerard'' make up, wearing fish net stockings and a real short skirt. I thought she was such a poser, and ''all talk and no action'' people, but she sang real loud! And her voice was not bad too. I thought that I could just rock it out, even though my voice was not as loud as hers, but my nerves got the better of me! I did not plan anything to say except to sing 'Teenagers'. So right before my name was called (I was about the 5th one), I decided to tell them how I truly became an MCR fan. No one knew the story before I told them! And ya'll won't either! Hee... Long story short, I started to cry! I seriously did not expect to cry! This is like the first time I ever cried in public! And on a stage, no less! Man, I am a dramatist! The judges were smypathetic and when I shook their hand after a 5 min interview and a shaky performance of 'Teenagers'. After that, I hurried off the stage and urged my mum to leave that area, all this while still crying! Darn it. If I did not cry, I would have put on a better performance!!!! Well, at least I tried! I'm still gonna see them anyway, but the concert may come with a side dish of jealousy, watching the Black Paraders! Hee...
You can see my tiny head in the red circle!
Here's the link with more pictures that those of you who are free enough can go see. Hee...

So besides crying on stage, I've been fortunate enough to watch a few good movies in a few days. Here they are in the order I watched them...
Hunting and Gathering at Cineleisure. I love these kind of ''character'' shows where the film is about the characters finding themselves. I think this is my favourite type of movie to watch. I like the raw sense of the film, and its a nice kind of raw, the kind I wish Asian Cinema had. In my opinion, when Asian Cinema decides to do ''raw'', it just comes off as ''uncooked''
Adapted from Anna Gavalda's bestseller, "Hunting and Gathering" (Ensemble, c'est tout) is the story of four destinies at a crossroads, four people who learn each other's ways, come to know one another, love one another and live under a single roof. Camille (Audrey Tautou) works in the evening as an office cleaning woman, making graceful drawings in her free time. Philibert (Laurent Stoker) is a young, aristocratic history buff. Timid, emotional and solitary, he occupies a spacious apartment owned by his family. Franck (Guillaume Canet) is a cook who has an undying love for his grandmother, a fragile and funny woman named Paulette. Together, they learn to ease their doubts and sorrows and make their dreams come true.
Factory Girl at Plaza Singapura. I never knew Sienna Miller had this kind of acting ability! She really stood out in this one, when she sort of blended into her other ones. There was a substantial amount of nudity, but it was done tastefully (for her) and I applaud her for being confident enough to do that!
Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is a beautiful and wealthy party girl who drops out of Radcliffe in 1965 and heads to New York to become Holly Golightly. When she meets a hungry young artist named Andy Warhol, he promises to make her the star she always wanted to be. And like a super nova she explodes on the New York scene - only to find herself slowly losing grip on reality.
Moliere at Cineleisure. I watched this right after the MCR contest. Mum and I did not really know what it was about, but I remembered watching a trailer of it. It's a very artsy film with very charismatic actors. French humour like you never knew it could be...
This witty romantic period drama tells the story from which Moliere would emerge as France's greatest dramatist. At the age of 22, following a spell of imprisonment for debt, Moliere - a well-born young man who had abandoned his privileges of his birth for love of a woman and the theatre - disappeared without a trace. His reappearance, several months later, launches his troupe into touring the provinces of France - a tour that goes on to last for 13 years and culminates in Moliere's triumphant return to Paris.
Lars and the Real Girl at Vivocity. A very touchy show. You definitely have to have an open mind to watch this one. I had no idea that Ryan Gosling could act in this kind of role. He usually plays a more upbeat character and this was just so different. Throughout the whole show I was half-smiling and half-sad. Definitely a show that I did not expect to make me smile and think.
A lonely, delusional young man (Ryan Gosling) buys a life-size sex doll on the Internet and falls in love with her, telling people it's his girlfriend. His brother and sister-in-law step in to help him with his delusion.
That's all for now! Punching out...
